Unmanned Aircraft Qualification Drone Course

Our drone training course is Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) compliant and once successfully completed, you will gain the Unmanned Aircraft Qualification (UAQ). This will serve as proof of competence when applying to the CAA for your Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO). The Unmanned Aircraft Qualification will also allow you to seek employment with an existing drone company that holds a PfCO.

Our course has been designed and developed by commercial airline pilots and professional drone operators. Our instructors are all equally experienced which ensures our training is always up-to-date and relevant, satisfying not just the CAA requirements, but also preparing you for your first job as a commercial drone operator. In addition, UAVAir never cancels a course, which means your booking is always guaranteed!

After completing the course, you will gain your Unmanned Aircraft Qualification. At this point, we will continue to support you in the writing of your Operations Manual and help you apply to the CAA for your PfCO.

In addition, UAVAir is pleased to offer all of our candidates the ability to receive a worldwide academically recognised qualification along with our Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved UAQ drone training course. All candidates will be able to receive a Level 3 or Level 4 qualification from ProQual in the Remote Piloting of Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

What does the course include?

  • Computer based distance learning
  • Ground School with theory test (2 days)
  • Practical Flight Assessment (90 minutes)
  • Operations Manual development + review
  • Free course study manual + pilot checklists
  • Free telephone support
