Fast Track Drone Course

The Fast Track PfCO course is set over three days and covers all the necessary theory and practical elements for you to apply for your PfCO.  Once you complete your pre-course work, you will complete the Ground School during the first two days and your Flight Assessment on the third. You will also need to prepare your Operations Manual for approval by UAVAir's reviewers, before you can apply to the CAA.

Online Learning Portal

Here, we have broken the sections of the Course Study Manual (CSM) down into subject lessons so it is easier to digest. Where relevant there, are supplementary videos to aid learning. At the end of each lesson, there is a quiz that has a selection of questions in the same style as those in the final exam for exam practice. You will also receive a hard copy of the CSM and a Flight Reference Handbook (FRH) posted directly to your door.

Ground School

The course starts with two days of Ground School learning. The CSM contains all the information required to pass the theory exam section of the course, but during this stage we will go over the important areas and ensure that you are fully prepared for both the theory and flight planning exams.

Flight Assessment

The focus of the last day of the UAQ is solely on the Flight Assessment. This can be done with reference to the handbook we provide, or you can choose to bring your own reference material if you prefer. Each candidate will be fully briefed so you will know exactly what to expect and all efforts will be made to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere to bring out the best performance in each individual. The Flight Assessment is designed to take 90 minutes.

Operations Manual

As part of the course, we will provide you with a quick and easy Operations Manual template. During the second day of the Ground School, we will go over a few key sections and make sure the requirements are clearly explained. The beauty of UAVAir’s template is that all you have to do is fill in pre-formatted sections with your own details. The result is a completed manual that is effectively written by yourself and tailored to your operations. The template also follows the CAA's guidelines on plagiarising content, making it simple for you to have a legally compliant document.
