ConsortiQ, the parent of UAVAir are seeking to recruit a person or persons with an interest in the exciting, and rapidly growing drone industry. With an established and growing share of the market, we are opening recruitment for individuals who fit with our values and characteristics. No experience in this industry is necessary but the right character is absolutely essential, extensive training and continual professional development will be supported.

Job Role – Operations Assistant / Trainee Operations Manager

Remuneration – £16k while training, £19k on completion, incremental and rapid progression commensurate with responsibilities

Contract Term – Internship-Permanent         

Contract Hours – 40 Per Week

Academic Prerequisites – Degree achieved

Outline of Duties
As well as dealing with the many day-to-day duties associated with booking and running of our training courses, duties will also include, but are not limited to; Administration; Sales; Negotiation; liaising with Suppliers; liaising with Venues; Web and Social Media activity; Content Creation; and Ordering and Buying. International travel is likely, and frequent national travel is probable. The successful candidate will be based from our Head Office in Whiteley, Fareham, but occasional flexibility on working location can be negotiated.

Day to Day responsibilities include:

  • Contacting prospective candidates
  • Answering advanced enquiries from new Leads, including queries of a technical, and complex legislative nature
  • Converting Leads to Bookings
  • Handling new bookings by telephone
  • Contacting candidates at each stage to manage the journey
  • Managing alteration of bookings
  • Managing invoicing of Corporate Clients
  • Liaising with Course Instructors and Assessors
  • Administrating, and optimising cloud based data storage systems
  • Administration of CRM Tools
  • Optimisation of processes
  • Creating content for email marketing campaigns
  • Assisting with Social Media campaigns
  • Training
  • Ensuring all tasks are audited and metrics are communicated.
  • Develop KPI’s
  • Representing the company where required.
  • Other tasks as directed by the Executive team.

Once competency is demonstrated in role we will be looking to accelerate the right candidates anywhere up to director level.

Personal Qualities
The successful candidate will preferably be a self starter, possessing excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Experience is not of great importance but character is. The candidate will be a productivity ninja who enjoys prioritising, thinking on their feet and solving problems. With a keenness to learn new skills, the candidate will be someone looking to get on board with an exciting technology/services hybrid start up company on a roller coaster ride, as the company expands its boundaries. The candidate will be someone who enjoys working as part of a team that are close-knit and have an interesting dynamic, spread across Europe. Fragile personalities, poor timekeepers and admin vortexes need not apply.

The person will possess exemplary communication and world class people skills. They will also be willing to take personal ownership for aspects of the business, and have an interest in enhancing the bottom line. We would also like to see someone who is a keen and forward thinking and brings sales, marketing and customer service into every project they undertake.

The Process
All candidates will have a preliminary meeting with the Group CEO, Directors, and the Central Operations Manager and may be required to undertake a general knowledge quiz. The candidate will be assessed on personality and characteristics, aptitude, and attitude. The successful candidate will be invested in and undertake ad hoc development opportunities in our support offices in Limerick –IRE, Annopolis – USA and the Middle East. Ultimately you will learn by doing. You will be a managing resources before your university peers have even finished their induction.

Progression
ConsortiQ is not a traditional company. The right candidates will be accelerated in to management and leadership positions and will be frequently outside of their comfort zones.
